Periklis Hristoforidis was a Greek comedic actor, recognized as one of the most prolific performers in Greek cinema. He came from a theatrical family of Pontic heritage, with both his father and grandfather being actors.
His career spanned five decades, from 1929 to 1979, making him one of the longest-serving actors in Greek film history. He appeared in numerous productions, including I bora (1929) by Dimitris Gaziadis, the last silent Greek film, and Taxidi tou melitos (1979) by Giorgos Panousopoulos. He often collaborated with his cousin, actor Takis Hristoforidis, and his sister Stella Hristoforidou was among the early actresses in Greek cinema, appearing in Oi apahides ton Athinon (1930).
With a vast filmography and a lasting presence in Greek entertainment, Hristoforidis left a significant mark on the industry.
