In a surprising turn of events, the much-anticipated grand trailer launch event for ‘Animal’ left fans puzzled as Bollywood stalwart Anil Kapoor was notably absent.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who was in the national capital for the release of the trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Animal’, opened up on why Anil Kapoor, who plays a key character in the film was not present at the event.

In a surprising turn of events, the much-anticipated grand trailer launch event for ‘Animal’ left fans puzzled as Bollywood stalwart Anil Kapoor was notably absent.

When asked about his absence, Ranbir said: “Anil Kapoor is currently in Dubai. This event was supposed to happen on the 21st, but got pushed for certain reasons. He already had prior commitments there.”

Mumbai, Sep 6 (Ians) Director Rakesh Roshan is celebrating his 74th birthday, while also hitting it up and celebrating 50 years of his very long standing friendship with his friends Jeetendra and Prem Chopra among others in a very warm fashion.

Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker posted a video being celebrated in the company of his close friends, as well as his brother Rajesh Roshan, all wishing him a happy birthday.

Mumbai, Aug 8 (Ians) Legendary actress Rekha, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her film ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’, in which she essayed the role of a mother to Hrithik Roshan’s character of Rohit.

The actress reminisced about collaborating with filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and co-actor Hrithik, while reliving the nostalgia of the film.

Rekha shared that for Rakesh, the Indian woman is the original superwoman, an embodiment of “Devi Maa”.

The film is described as “an allegory of the gun crisis in the United States”. Its plot follows two Pittsburgh police partners and best friends who are called to an uneventful domestic violence dispute on Second Street.

This, according to ‘Variety’, quickly escalates to a violent confrontation as Officer Tj Meadows III shoots and kills his partner, Officer Kevin Cooper, with his backup gun.

Somy took to Instagram, where she shared a slew of pictures from her 1994 film ‘Yaar Gaddar’, which also stars Saif Ali Khan, Mithun Chakraborty and Prem Chopra.

She wrote: “This is why we did three shifts in one day back in the 90’s. We worked on three different movies in each shift and there were times that I was so exhausted, I’d forget which character I was playing.

“This is again in 1994 with all my favourites. Umesh ji was one of the nicest directors I have worked with and I miss this entire group tons. Yaar Gaddar was a fun experience and it will always remain close to my heart.”
