    • Etchika Choureau was born on November 12, 1929 in Paris, France. She was an actress, known for Les commandos passent à l'attaque (1958), C'est la guerre (1958) and La foire aux femmes (1956). She was married to Philippe Rheims and Max Choureau. She died on January 24, 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.

Trivia

  • Near the end of the 1950s she had a relationship with the future king of Morocco, King Hassan II. However, the relationship failed and her career, which she stopped, never started again. After only a few more films she disappeared for good.
  • The relationship was ended due to the demands of his father, Sultan Mohammed V, then King of Morocco (1909-1961) that he take a Moroccan wife and not a French wife. They remained in close contact until his death.
  • Her one-time hobby was raising giant chrysanthemums. French flower growers gave her name to a species.
  • Minor French-born leading lady of the 50s, born Jeannine Verret, who also appeared in a few international pictures.
  • Studied drama at the Paris Conservatory of Arts.
