Allison Williams Defends Her Dad Brian Williams: 'He's a Truthful Man'
Brian Williams at an event for Wall Street: l'argent ne dort jamais (2010)
Allison Williams has her dad's back.

The Girls star defended NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams after admitting that he misspoke about his time spent covering the war in Iraq in 2003 (before he landed his job behind the anchor desk in 2004).

Video: Why Brian Williams Should Replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show

"It's been tough, though," Allison said during a Q&A with Seth Meyers at New York's 92Y. "Obviously, toughest on my dad, who bears the full burden of responsibility for it, but one thing the experience has not done is shake my trust and belief in him as a man."

Continuing to dote on her dad, she continued, "He's a really good man. He's an honest man. He's a truthful man. He has so much integrity. He cares so much about journalism. And yes, he's a really good dad. I know you can trust him because, as any good daughter does, I've tested...

FX’s Gay Rapper “Chozen” Takes the Stage, the Return of “The Fosters” and Major “Big Bang Theory” Guest-Stars
News

I had high hopes for The Assets, I liked the idea of focusing the damage control necessary when a mole is leaking the identities of informants. Unfortunately, audiences weren’t so interested and it’s been pulled from the schedule.

Last night, TVLine got some red carpet scoop. James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher will be appearing as themselves, encountering Sheldon. Er, can Sheldon’s heart handle meeting those two legends? I’m suddenly worried they’re killing him off.

The BBC America original drama The Intruders has picked a familiar face for its lead. Life on Mars and Doctor Who alum John Simm will play a former cop thrown into a supernatural conspiracy.

Wg America’s 10-part 10 Commandments mini-series will each be made by a different director with a chapter each coming from Lee Daniels and Gus Van Sant.

E! has apologized for a graphic that appeared during...

The MTV Movie Awards were "Pitch Perfect"
Tags: televisionTVRebel WilsonPitch PerfectMTVMTV movie awardsIMDbSelena GomezAnna Camp

This year’s MTV Movie Awards was an evening of highly anticipated reunions, sneak peeks, and of course, the hostess herself, Rebel Wilson. Rebel’s opening sequence with James Franco was great, but she really blew it out of the water when she was joined onstage by her Pitch Perfect co-stars for a live mashup performance of "Lose Yourself/Girl on Fire." Soon enough, when Rebel busted out the leather pants and nun chucks and the audience knew we were in for a hell of a show. Rebel’s opening monologue hit all the right notes, and aside from a few bits that landed a little flat later in the show, she proved to be an entertaining and capable host.

Like any awards show, viewers care about what truly matters: The clothes. Overall, the women were dressed to the nines, highlights being...

Might General Hospital lose its mob mentality? After 15 years as headwriter for the ABC sudser — during which time he squarely focused the show near-exclusively on crime boss Sonny Corinthos and cohorts — Robert Guza Jr. has left the building. Mad Men Recap: Finally, The Episode Where We Get to See Don Draper Naked
This is a recap for the fourth episode of Season 4 of Mad Men starring Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, January Jones, and a slew of other talented actors, on an episode called “The Rejected.” And here if your For Your Consideration Recap: Best Mad Men Opening Shot Ever Whoo, y’all (fanning myself with comically oversized geisha fan), nudity on Mad Men? Is Jon Hamm going to get so drunk he accidentally forgets his pants at a Pond’s Cold Cream meeting? Or will this be like on NYPD Blue, when everyone stayed up late to see some primetime, network television nakedness, only to be slapped across the face with an image of Sipowicz‘s bare ass? We shall masturbate and see. Best Cancer Reveal Oh, look, Anna wrote!! Can someone make out this handwriting? I swear, I wish she’d stop writing her letters on Ms Paint. It’s disrespectful.
