Bears a striking resemblance to Queen Elizabeth II, and since her first screen role in 1974, through to her final screen role in 2010, approximately 29 out of Jeannette Charles' 37 screen roles/appearances, on film and television, have been as either "Queen Elizabeth"/"Queen Elizabeth II", or simply "the Queen".

Like Queen Elizabeth II, she died at the age of 96. Furthermore, she died on the 71st anniversary of the Queen's coronation on June 2, 1953.

Retired from acting in 2010.

Before her acting career took off, she worked as a secretary.

In 1972, she commissioned a portrait of herself for her husband Ken's birthday, and it was displayed by artist Jane Thornhill at the Royal Academy in London. Many museum-goers mistook the depiction for Queen Elizabeth herself and the error led to Charles receiving widespread media attention. This was soon followed by Charles receiving offers to portray the queen in print ads, and getting an agent, who told her she had potential to make a career out of playing Queen Elizabeth II.

Also played Queen Elizabeth II in À nous quatre (1998) with Lindsay Lohan, but her scene was cut from the film.

Before her career as a Queen Elizabeth impersonator took off, she had dreams of being an actress and actually passed an audition at the RADA - London's prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She ultimately couldn't attend because the tuition was too expensive and her "looks counted against me - no matter what role I took on, I'd hear comments from the audience, and sometimes even laughter.".

In addition to playing Queen Elizabeth twenty-nine times, her last name was the first name of Elizabeth's son (who became king upon Elizabeth's death).
