Michael was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in southern New Jersey, where he spent much of his free time watching movies and making amateur films. He received a B.A. in Film Studies at Wesleyan University, (Middletown, CT), where he discovered a love for the editing room. He also met his future wife there, with whom he moved to Los Angeles after graduation. Michael has since cut several feature films and dozens of unscripted television shows.
