Beloved husband and father, avid Packer fan, writer David Chappe, 54, passed on May 13 2002 after a four year battle with angiosarcoma, at Cedars Sinai Hospital. A member of the WGA, David's credits include the infamous Gale Force, which is credited with beginning the mega-spec market for screenplays. His produced credits include Beowulf (1999) and early in his career - Les maîtres de l'univers (1983) cartoons.

David was an accomplished artist with an MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York. His photographs of friends and family are deeply cherished. He will be greatly missed by friends who always felt good while in the company of his humor, compassion and relentless optimism. He embraced life with great gusto and inspired those who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Bess, his brother Marc, as well as his beloved wife, June Stoddard, and their daughters.
