When Young Mazino heard there was a role for him in “The Last of Us” Season 2, the beloved “Beef” actor “ran to a GameStop, bought a used PS4, and played through the game” immediately. Mazino told IndieWire he was already a fan of HBO’s TV adaptation thanks to its Emmy-winning first season, but that studying the source material felt essential before meeting with series co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. If only someone had told him, they didn’t want their actors playing the game.
“It was important for Craig [Mazin as showrunner] to understand the game fully,” said Druckmann to IndieWire. “With our actors, what we told them — and they often would not listen to us — we asked them, ‘Don’t play the game.’ Because the games have performances that are brilliant as far as I’m concerned.”
Head of the games studio Naughty Dog, Druckmann co-wrote “The...

Bosch: Legacy is the sequel series of Bosch, the Prime Video TV series based on the LAPD detective created by author Michael Connelly. The original Bosch series followed Titus Welliver as Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch, a hardened, no-nonsense LAPD detective from the Hollywood Homicide division. Harry is a tough detective who usually follows his own rules. And even though some might question his methods and his distinct dislike for authority, Harry always finds the bad guy.
Bosch ended after seven seasons in 2021. But thanks to the popularity of the show and the critical acclaim Bosch received, a sequel series was quickly announced; Bosch: Legacy. Bosch: Legacy follows Harry after he resigns from the LAPD and becomes a private investigator. And besides Harry, Bosch: Legacy also follows Harry's daughter Maddie Bosch, as a rookie cop for the LAPD, and Honey Chandler, the controversial defense attorney who crossed paths multiple times with Harry in the original Bosch.

Spoilers are ahead for Bosch: Legacy season 2.
Chandler's new role as District Attorney is compromised by Bosch's actions, putting her career at risk. Mo, feeling fed up with Bosch and Chandler, may betray them to avoid the FBI's wrath or out of love for Janice. The relationship between Maddie and Harry Bosch becomes strained as evidence suggests that Harry arranged Dockweiler's death in prison.
With a giant season 2 cliffhanger ending that puts its titular character in hot water, Bosch: Legacy season 3 has already spawned some pretty big theories. A sequel to the Amazon Prime Video series Bosch (2014–2021), Bosch: Legacy was a selling point for the company's Freevee platform when it launched in earnest in 2022. Both series center on author Michael Connelly's titular Los Angeles Police Department detective, who has starred in over 20 best-selling police procedural novels. However, Legacy changes the formula: Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) retires from...

In an upcoming episode of Bosch: Legacy Season Two, private investigator Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver) asks a favor of a couple of colleagues from his days as an LAPD homicide detective. Their exchange is terse and extremely one-sided in favor of the self-righteous Bosch. As he walks away, Christina Vega (Jacqueline Obradors) mutters, “Same old Bosch.”
“Same old Bosch” might as well be the actual title of Bosch: Legacy, which is among the least spinoff-y of spinoffs ever made(*). It brings back the hero of Bosch as its main character.
