- Ron has two daughters, Jennifer Chaney and Jaclynn Chaney. Both work with him in Chaney Entertainment, Inc., a company formed in 1992 to preserve and perpetuate the Chaney Family history. He also has a son Crighton Cole Chaney.
- Ron was a 17 year old junior in high school when his grandfather, Lon Chaney Jr., who he knew as "Gramps", passed away in 1973.
