  • At the time of his burial, his mother could not afford a headstone. After 76 years, a headstone was placed in November 2012.
  • Was tutored in facial expressions (particularly frowning) by slow-burn specialist Edgar Kennedy.
  • Moon-faced member of "Our Gang" who replaced Joe Cobb as the perennial 'fat boy' after winning a national talent contest.
  • Ironically, he weighed only 110 pounds at the time of his death.
  • Norman "Chubby" Chaney was the first former "Little Rascal" to die. He was 21. Of the "Our Gang" regulars only Billy 'Froggy' Laughlin and Bobby 'Wheezer' Hutchins died at a younger age.
