Blaise Cendrars was born on 1 September 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He was a writer and director, known for L'or maudit (1936), La Venere nera (1923) and Um Filme 100% Brasileiro (1985). He was married to Raymone and Félicie Poznanska. He died on 21 January 1961 in Paris, France.
