His last name of "Forest" comes from the end of his real name, Charlebois. "Bois" means "wood" in French, but also "woods", which is to mean a small forest.

Speaks fluent Italian. He dubbed over 500 films while he was in Rome.

In an interview on YouTtube,he stated that he initially turned down the old millionaire role in Body (1993), because it was presented to him as "they were doing him a big favor" as he would be filming sex scenes with Madonna. Forest made his agent make an outrageous financial demand to the producers in order to avoid casting him. Surprisingly, whatever payment he asked was agreed by the producers so he had to play the role.
