  • Became wealthy as a result of his recurring role in "Dynasty", but blew most of his money on classic cars and high living.
  • His eldest son, Linford, was killed instantly in 1999 in a road accident, while driving to pick up books from Cambridge University. He had just been awarded a Master's Degree in Philosophy from Cambridge. Sources close to Cazenove say he never got over his son's death and started drinking heavily in its aftermath.
  • Prior to his collapse after arriving home in London, he had suffered migraines while on a business trip to California. He went into a coma before dying of septicemia.
  • Prior to his death, Cazenove, 66, was in a relationship for seven years with Isabelle Davies, who is in her 30s.
  • On stage, he starred as Henry Higgins in both British and American productions of "My Fair Lady" from 2005 through to 2008.
  • Best known in America for his TV role as Ben Carrington in Dynastie (1981), Cazenove's death occurred just six days after the death of actor John Forsythe, who played his older brother, Blake Carrington, in the popular primetime soaper. Despite playing brothers, Forsythe was 26 years older.
  • The son of Arnold de Lerrison and Elizabeth Laura Cazenove (née Gurney), and educated at the Dragon School, Eton College and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
  • Upon his death, he was cremated and his ashes returned to his family.
  • Trained for acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Made his stage debut in Shaw's "Man and Superman" at the Phoenix Theatre in Leicester, in 1967.

  • His father was a brigadier in the Coldstream Guards and wanted Christopher to follow him in his military footsteps.

  • On leaving Eton spent nearly 2 years as nanny to the Earl of Harwood's 3 sons before going to drama school.
