Laura started her career as a dancer in front of the camera performing in musicals and numerous films and television projects. Falling in love with the filmmaking process, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies where she graduated cum laude.

She worked for producer/director Irwin Winkler on the pictures "Rocky V," "Goodfellas," and "The Net." Laura joined Geena Davis' production company (The Forge) as a creative executive where she read screenplays and ran the story department. From there she set up her own banner, raised equity financing and produced numerous indy films, including "Face the Music," which won accolades at several film festivals and was distributed by New Line Cinema.

Finding she had an affinity for the business side, Caulfield went on to earn her paralegal degree through UCLA School of Law, and upon graduation, she joined the legal department at New Line Cinema. During her tenure, she oversaw a staff of five production attorneys and handled all aspects of production legal on in-house projects (including, "Lord of The Rings (Trilogy)," "Blade Trinity," "Elf" and "Wedding Crashers," just to name a few).

Being courted by the internationally renowned law firm O'Melveny & Myers, she worked on complex motion picture financing and entertainment corporate matters. Thereafter, she was brought on to head up the Production Legal department at Paramount Pictures. In her role as Executive Director, she oversaw the production legal staff and worked on blockbuster hits "Transformers 3", "Mission Impossible 4", "World War Z" and numerous other films.

Drawing on 20+ years of experience, in 2012 she founded Entertainment Solutions and has been influential in launching numerous media start-ups. Some of the recent films she has handled corporate, development and business and legal affairs for include: "Killers of the Flower Moon," "Triangle of Sadness," "The Last Vermeer," "All the Money in the World," "Bad Moms," "A Bad Moms Christmas," "Phantom Thread," "Detroit," "American Hustle," and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Laura was instrumental in the launch of the podcast division for Imperative Entertainment where she acted as Sr. Vice President of the company. Recently she produced a few podcasts including "The Red Note" which was nominated for an iHeart Radio award. She is a producer on "Flowers of the Desert," a true crime feature documentary which exposes the decades long gender bias and the femicide crisis in Mexico. Laura is a business affairs executive, feminist, and producer with a cause. "I believe film and entertainment media has the potential, and obligation, to shed light on social issues, depicting women in all our complexities, not just in cookie cutter roles" says Caulfield. "It's imperative, especially in our current political climate, to take on difficult subjects, provoking people to take action for change."

She is a Women in Film mentor and activist and donates her time and financial resources with several organizations, including Geena Davis Gender and Media Foundation, See Jane Run, The National Women's History Museum and Laura is a founding member of the Santa Barbara Women for Good Grapevine group.
