Born on the north coast of Cornwall, Antony traveled throughout the world as a child, where his father was often stationed abroad. After an early interest in art, and sports, both excelled at on an international level, he became a ships captain and sailed the oceans, before moving to Denmark and starting his film work there. At first it was documentaries that were his prime ambition, but soon fiction became an interest, and after studying manuscript writing at the National Danish Film School, he started work in the AD department and was soon an established name in the Scandinavian film world of feature films.
