Patricia Castañeda
Patricia Castaneda was born in Cali, Colombia, and not only has she been acting since a very young age, but she is also a writer. On her first paid acting role, Tiempos Dificiles, she was nominee for best actress in the India Catalina Film Festival, and has worked since. Patricia studied theater-drama in HB Studio with Uta Haggen in New York in 2000, and was during her 4 year studies in NYC where she did her first play. She got the part of the mute, in an off-off Broadway play: Mono, which had been running for 2 years; Patricia joint the last 3 months. Later on she audition for the lead in The Sons of Juan Perez, and got the part of Maria. In 2004 she received a call from Caracol's CEO, a Colombian main studio, asking her to return for a year to play the lead role in a TV series, which score the highest rating during the year it was aired. Patricia has worked in TV, theater and movies, and is one the few actresses who shares acting with writing: in 2007 she published a book of 10 short stories (La noche del demonio) and in 2011 a novel that was awarded Best Romantic Novel in the International Latino Book Awards.

Patricia has said in various interviews that her passion for writing came from the various plays she read during her studies at HB, and her curiosity for trying to make the character take reckless decision.
