    • Brent Carver was born on November 17, 1951 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada. He was an actor, known for La légende de Sleepy Hollow (1999), Millenium (1989) and Un tandem de choc (1994). He died on August 4, 2020 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada.

Trivia

  • In his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the 1993 Tony Awards, he thanked "my dear, dear Susan - this is for you. And I can say, death be not proud!". In a later interview with the New York Times, Carver said he was referring to his friend, actress Susan Wright, who had died along with her parents in a fire at Carver's Stratford Ontario home in 1991.
  • Won Broadway's 1993 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical) for a "Kiss of the Spider Woman--The Musical." He was also nominated in the same category in 1999 for, "Parade."
  • Currently starring as Gandalf in the world premiere of the 3 1/2 hour stage adaptation of Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto.
  • He was the son of Lois Helen (Wills), a clerk, and Kenneth Elmer Carver, who was in the lumber business.
