Doris Carey(I)

A proud member of SAG/AFTRA, Doris has worked on stage, independent film and major studio productions. It was an honor to work alongside great and kind actors like Robert Duvall, Tom Selleck, John Travolta and Judd Nelson. She cherishes her stage roles as Ruth from "A Raisin in the Sun" and the Lady in Red from "for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf." A retired RN, Doris is as comfortable in medical settings as she is on a set. She confesses that acting and medicine are both in her blood. Doris graduated with a BSN from Murray State University in Kentucky and enjoys writing poetry, swimming and spending time in nature. She grew up in south Florida, where she climbed trees, swam in the warm ocean and ran everywhere she went. Doris is now happy to call the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu her home.
