Born in Brooklyn, New York, Johnny Cannizzaro is an actor and writer whose career spans television, film, and stage. Audiences have seen him on hit series including Quantum Leap, New Amsterdam, Criminal Minds: Evolution, S.W.A.T., The Rookie, NCIS: Hawai'i, and Matlock. He made his feature film debut in Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys and later starred opposite Anthony Geary in the acclaimed independent film The Obituary.
In 2025, Johnny takes on another Jersey musician, playing Stevie Van Zandt in 20th Century Studios' Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.
