“Although Max will not proceed with a third season of Clone High, we will always cherish our creative partnership with Chris Miller, Phil Lord, Bill Lawrence, Erica Rivinoja, Erik Durbin, Judah Miller, Corey Campodonico, Alex Bulkley, and the team at MTV Entertainment Studios,” Max says in a statement obtained by TVLine. “The incredibly talented voice actors, writers, cast and crew provided the opportunity to thaw out these legendary characters.”

Mark Gustafson, who alongside Guillermo del Toro directed 2022’s Oscar-winning animated feature Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, has died at 64 following a heart attack. Del Toro confirmed the news on social media, writing that Gustafson was “a pillar of stop-motion animation- a true artist. A compassionate, sensitive and mordantly witty man. Co-created by Woods, Gardner and Judge, the public radio parody chronicles the making of NPR’s fictional “third most popular host” Lauren Caspian’s radio program, where he conducts in-depth interviews with guests, including Kaia Gerber, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Mike Tyson, Hugh Laurie, Jorge Masvisdal and more.

Per Variety, Praise Petey series creator Anna Drezen broke the news in an Instagram post. Drezen wrote, "I cannot believe we got to make this show. Best crew, best cast, top to bottom, the dream of my life to make something this funny and unwell that went on actual television. I have heard that making a non-ip show during Covid that premieres during a double strike in the dead of summer was not ideal for viewership. It's still on Hulu as of right now. If you want to watch it you should do it soon. Thanks to everyone who watched and loved these characters as much as I did, and biggest thanks to Alex Jones and Charlie Kirk for bravely yelling about the show when the actors couldn't.
