Trusted insiders The DisInsider and Daniel Rpk are reporting that Camp Rock 3 is in the works at Disney. The sequel is reportedly being led by High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle, with Fuller House writer Eydie Faye penning the script. While plot details remain under wraps, Production Weekly has the following synopsis on their website: "When a popular band needs to find a new opening act, they launch a contest to discover the next big musical talent." Richtman also states that one of the new characters in the movie, "Sage," is currently being cast as the next potential lead of the Camp Rock franchise.

Isabela Merced has been on a fantastic run, with Alien: Romulus and The Last of Us season 2 helping wash away the bad taste left by Madame Web (a project that could quite easily derail many a young actor's career).

She'll get a second chance at playing a superhero in this summer's Superman, where Merced takes on the role of Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl. However, following her brief Marvel experience, she knows better than to put the cart before the horse.

"What's funny is, my grandmother's name was Dora, and my sister is named after my grandmother. And I knew no one named Dora growing up. I'm from Miami of Cuban heritage, and it's not a completely uncommon name, but it's just very rare," said Canals-Barrera. "So when the show originally came out, I said to my sister, 'Look!

Does anyone else remember Project Greenlight? The Ben Affleck and Matt Damon-produced show about giving amateur filmmakers a chance to make a feature-length film with “studio” resources? In its third (and final) season, they would focus on the horror genre, delivering the high energy and quite bonkers, Feast. While it’s sequels are considerably more Grindhouse, there’s still a lot of charm with that first film and a lot of that has to do with director, John Gulager. The trailer for The Merry Gentlemen has arrived. The upcoming Netflix Christmas movie, which stars Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson, follows a young woman attempting to save her family's local performance venue The Rhythm Room by staging a Christmas-themed burlesque revue featuring shirtless beefcakes. Almost twenty years ago, viewers of the Project Greenlight reality TV series got to watch as John Gulager was hired to direct the creature feature Feast for a producing team that included Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Wes Craven. We spoke with Danny Trejo leading up to the release of Seven Cemeteries, his uniquely comedic new Western film that features familiar faces like Efren Ramirez (Napoleon Dynamite) and Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place). It's a wild, supernatural ride as Trejo's lead antihero, Bruno, guides a ragtag undead posse to redemption. It's also just the kind of project for a likable badass like Trejo, who is perhaps best known for his awesome collaborations with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, including his eponymous role in Robert Rodriguez's cult classic Machete franchise. Ever since the movie was released following the faux trailer's premiere during Grindhouse (2007), fans have been yearning for another Machete film.

There was talk of a potential sequel titled Machete Kills in Space, and Trejo confirmed to us that he's still interested in the idea. "I've got to get Robert to make Machete Kills in Space. I'll take Elon Musk with me!

According to Deadline, the official trailer for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place has amassed 69 million views across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube in the 10 days since it was released on Sept. 24. This makes it Disney Channel's most-watched trailer for a comedy series ever. As Deadline notes, this is a promising early indicator for the highly-anticipated series featuring the return of David Henrie as wizard Justin Russo, which is the latest foray into multi-camera comedies on the Disney Channel for Disney Branded Television.

David Henrie and Gregg Sulkin reunite on the set of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Premiering on the Disney Channel in 2007, Wizards of Waverly Place starred Selena Gomez as Alex, Henrie as Justin, and Jake T. Austin as Max, three magical siblings of the Russo family who compete to be the next family wizard. The world of the show is set to return with sequel series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, which sees Justin embrace the non-wizarding life as father to Milo (Max Matenko) before Alex introduces him to Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), a wizard who seeks to be Justin's apprentice.

Welcome back to the Disney Channel, Russo family. The Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, has just received its premiere date.

Disney Channel has announced that the hotly-anticipated Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will debut with its first two episodes on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 8:00 p.m. Edt. The first eight episodes will then be made available on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the next day, Wednesday, Oct. 30. Alongside the date announcement, Disney revealed that Disney Channel alums Raven-Symon and Danielle Fishel (Girl Meets World) will direct episodes in Season 1. A new poster for the series was also released and can be viewed below.
