Sara Caldwell is an award winning screenwriter/filmmaker, published author, and lecturer in the Film and Media Studies department at UC Santa Barbara. She's also a digital media instructor at College of the Canyons (COC) in Santa Clarita and a producer/writer/director for House of Gorey Productions, which specializes in the horror/thriller genre. Sara has also made a number of award-winning stop-motion shorts, including The Ghost Under My Bed.
Sara's screenplays have also been recognized with many awards, including Best Original Screenplay at the Burbank International Film Festival, NOLA Horror Film Festival, Shivers International Film Festival, Dazed4Horror Film Festival and the Cannes Screenplay Contest. Her short films have also received some attention, including Best Short Film at the Indie Horror Film Festival, Los Angeles Thriller Film Festival, Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, and Creative Arts Film Festival.
Sara is a member of the Writers Guild of America West (WGA) and the Alliance of Women Directors.
