DAVID CAFFREY, born in Dublin, began his film & TV career with various production roles on b-movies with Roger Corman. Award winning short films, CONNIVERS, BANTAMS and BOLT caught the eye of the industry, resulting in a move to the feature film arena with DIVORCING JACK starring David Thewlis and Rachel Griffiths for Scala Productions then onto the 18th Century Mini series ARISTOCRATS for BBC/WGBH. ON THE NOSE starring Dan Ackroyd and Robbie Coltrane, a comedy feature for Subotica/Universal and GRAND THEFT PARSONS starring Johnny Knoxville and Michael Shannon for Swipe Films/Lionsgate followed. Since then work has alternated between commercials and television drama; the latter including the pilot and two eps of LINE OF DUTY for BBC/World productions, Pilot and 5 Seasons of LOVE/HATE for RTE/Octagon and LUCKY MAN for SKY/NBC Universal. More recent productions include the pilot plus 5 eps of PRIME SUSPECT 1973 for ITV/NOHO and all episodes of the Bafta winning Season 4 of PEAKY BLINDERS starring Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Helen McCrory, Adrien Brody and Tom Hardy for BBC/Tiger Aspect/CM Productions. David Exec produced and directed the full season of the Irish refugee drama TAKEN DOWN for RTE/Freemantle.

Alienist (Angel of Darkness)for Paramount/TNT starring Dakota Fanning, Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl is his most recent project, directing 5 episodes and serving as an Executive producer.
