    • Fritz Böttger was born on August 7, 1902 in Gera, Germany. He was a writer and actor, known for Le mort dans le filet (1960), Die Junggesellenfalle (1953) and Der lachende Vagabund (1958). He died on November 1, 1981 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

  • Because of his dance background he joined the film business as a choreographer in 1938.
  • He also realised few movies as a director.
  • The actor and screenwriter Fritz Böttger got an education for acting, singing and dance before he started his artistic career as a dancer in Rostock. It followed engagements in Münster, Graz, Karlsbad and Oldenburg where he also realised some plays as a director.
  • From 1939 he impersonated several roles in front of the camera.
  • In 1950 he became a demanded screenwriter and he wrote the scripts for the movies "Epilog" (1950), "Die Försterchristl" (1952), "Pension Schöller" (1952), "Maske in Blau" (1953), "Bonjour Kathrin" (1956), "Der Graf von Luxemburg" (1957) and "Das blaue Meer und Du" (1959).
