There have been many Chicago P.D. roster changes over 12 seasons, and now another series regular is handing in their badge. While previous reports stated all One Chicago leads will return for the 2025-2026 season, only Jason Beghe’s name was on the list for Chicago P.D. As it turns out, the Chicago P.D. cast is getting smaller after all.
As reported by Variety, Toya Turner is leaving her role as Kiana Cook on Chicago P.D. after just one season. Kiana joined the Intelligence Unit in Chicago P.D. season 12, replacing Tracy Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton after her season 11 departure. Confirming her own exit ahead of Chicago P.D. season 13, Turner said goodbye in an Instagram post on Thursday, writing:

In cinema—especially thrillers—book adaptations have long served as a goldmine for genre filmmakers. Tapping into the smartness of literary language often helps writers fill the creative gaps of visual storytelling with a kind of practised ease. But what does one make of a book adaptation in the AI age, when employing a real screenwriter might just mean hiring someone who fed the book into DeepSeek and spat out a compressed screenplay? Surely, for a writer-director who’s been in the game this long, Chris Sivertson would’ve done more—read the novel, written the script—but his adaptation of Adele Parks’s 2016 Sunday Times bestseller feels like a patchwork of formulaic, occasionally laughable scenes slapped together on the editing table. Because the writing of “The Stranger in My Home” plays exactly like something churned out by a writer wrestling with a block on a lazy Sunday, with nothing else on the agenda.

Fans haven't had an update in a hot minute for the upcoming revival of the 2000s teen drama, One Tree Hill. News broke of the sequel series last year, with Hilarie Burton Morgan, Sophia Bush, and Danneel Ackles slated to not only serve on the crew behind the scenes in major ways, but also reprise their roles. After delighting fans everywhere that they'd get to see Peyton Sawyer (Burton Morgan) and Brooke Davis (Bush) on-screen together for the first time since Season 6, there hasn't been much more news. Now, there's a slight peek behind the curtain thanks to Danneel Ackles' husband, Jensen Ackles. During a lengthy profile interview, Supernatural actor talked with Collider's Tania Hussain about the upcoming revival of the WB series, since both he and his wife serve as executive producers on the project. Ackles, while still providing an update, deferred ultimately to his wife, who played...

Drama, drama, drama. That’s the most accurate description of The Stranger in My Home. The psychological thriller sees Sophia Bush play Ali Mitchell, a mother whose life gets turned upside down when Tom Truby (Chris Carmack) appears on her doorstep and tells her that he’s her teenage daughter Katie’s (Amiah Miller) real father after a baby mix-up at the hospital. Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack were attracted to their characters for different reasons Image Credit: Paramount Pictures For Bush, she welcomed the opportunity to dive into such a juicy and drama-filled role as Ali. “I absolutely loved it,” she said. “From the moment I read the script, I was excited about it, and then being able to dive into the source material – the best-selling novel by Adele Parks – and really see how rich the story is for every single character.” In addition to this, Bush appreciated the...

The psychological thriller genre peaked in the ’90s, because even when the films weren’t great, they were still memorable. Jeff Fisher’s The Stranger in My Home feels like it belongs to that era. It’s messy, unbelievable, and all over the place – but it’s one heck of a time. It’s like the Marlena Evans possession story arc in Days of Our Lives, where everyone scoffed at in public but adored it in private. Based on the best-selling Adele Parks novel of the same name, The Stranger in My Home sees married couple Ali (Sophia Bush) and Jeff Mitchell’s (Chris Johnson) life turned upside down when Tom Truby (Chris Carmack) arrives on their doorstep and claims to be their teenage daughter Katie’s (Amiah Miller) real father. According to Tom, there was a mix-up at the hospital on the day in which Katie was born, so...

It’s no secret that Sophia Bush did not leave Chicago Pd and the One Chicago franchise on the best of terms. Bush departed the series after four seasons of playing Detective Erin Lindsay on NBC’s hit police drama, and it’s honestly amazing that she stuck with the show for as long as she did, considering everything she had to endure behind the scenes.
Bush has opened up about her experience on the show before, but her newest comments paint a truly heartbreaking picture of just how rough things were for the beloved actress.
During a recent appearance on Monica Lewinsky's podcast, Reclaiming, Bush opened up about how her bucket list show brought about a traumatic experience where she experienced "every kind of abuse.”
“I was in this great place [after One Tree Hill], and I was ready for what was next. And I did this comedy that I loved … for CBS.

One Tree Hill and Chicago P.D. star Sophia Bush has emotionally reflected on the abuse she suffered on the set of one of her shows. Bush shot to global fame in her breakout role of Brooke Davis in the CW smash-hit teen drama One Tree Hill, before a starring turn as Erin Lindsay in Chicago P.D., and a recurring role as Dr. Cass Beckman in Grey's Anatomy season 21. She also co-hosts the podcast Drama Queens, with former One Tree Hill co-stars Bethany Joy Lenz and Hilary Burton.
In a recent interview on Monica Lewinsky's podcast Reclaiming (via YouTube), Bush opened up on her traumatic experiences on the set of a show she doesn't specifically name. Bush details that she received "every kind of abuse" from an older man during her time on one of her shows. Bush discusses her time on One Tree Hill, and her first experience of workplace trauma,...

Actress Sophia Bush alleged she was was on the receiving end of “every kind of abusive” treatment while filming a television show.
The One Tree Hill veteran made the claims during an episode of Monica Lewinsky’s podcast Reclaiming that was released Tuesday.
While Bush did not name the show, she gave several context clues (such as the date she left the series) so that one might assume she was talking about her years on NBC’s hit procedural Chicago P.D., where she played Detective Erin Lindsay. She left the show after 84 episodes and has previously described it as a grueling experience.
“I was in this great place [after One Tree Hill], and I was ready for what was next,” Bush said. “And I did this comedy that I loved … for CBS. Then I went to work on this other show that was on my bucket list and then I had this whole other trauma.

Michelle Obama’s podcast turned cheeky when she made a flirtatious comment at Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, joking about being a “single girl” with the chance to stay at his home.
Chesky, who was a guest on the former first lady’s Imo podcast, told an amusing story about how a fan refreshed the Airbnb website thousands of times in hopes of booking a stay at Chesky’s home. If you’re a huge fan of fast-paced drama and powerful storytelling, the Chicago franchise has probably hooked you by now. What began with Chicago Fire all the way back in 2012 quickly turned into something bigger – a TV universe where first responders, police officers, and lawyers fight their own battles in the same city. That’s right – the franchise includes Chicago Fire, Chicago Pd, Chicago Med, and the short-lived Chicago Justice.
Each managed to have its own vibe and emotional pull. As fans, we’ve loved watching characters cross over between series, face life-or-death situations, and build real human connections. While some shows have completely nailed the formula, others have not so much.
Whether you’re into the adrenaline of firefighting, the intensity of police work, or the chaos of the ER, there’s something here for everyone. But let’s be honest – not all of them hit the same.

Austin Nichols is opening up about how “weird” and “wrong” it was for him to kiss a 15-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen while filming a movie together.
In the 2001 film Holiday in the Sun, Nichols played Griffen Grayson, a love interest to Olsen’s Madison Stewart. And on a recent episode of the Drama Queens podcast, hosted by his former One Tree Hill costars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz, the actor reflects on playing the part.
“I was definitely nervous because Mary-Kate was 15, and I was, I think, 18 or 19, or maybe even 20. I don’t remember, but I was too old,” he said. “It felt weird and it felt wrong.” Nichols was 21 years old when the movie was released.
He continued to describe how he “looked very young,” so he believes the age difference may not be so noticeable for people watching it. “I’m real tall and skinny and nerdy,...

What’s that I hear? Why, it’s the sound of Gavin DeGraw crooning the opening theme of One Tree Hill. Take me back to the days of flip phones, Sketchers, and AOL Instant Messenger.
Those were the days when teen drama ruled as the last remnants of the late ’90s and early 2000s.
One Tree Hill was a defining show for an entire generation of teenagers. Now, the series acts as a time capsule, freezing a moment in time that many people in their thirties now look back on with nostalgia.
(Warner Bros. Television/Screenshot)
Believe it or not, the show is still popular among the crowd that originally enjoyed it, as well as a new group of kids who are discovering it for the first time.
That’s why Netflix saw an opportunity to cash in on all those memories of Coach bags and Hollister tees. However, can...

Michelle Obama has always been open about her life and her growth, whether it’s in raising two daughters, being the First Lady for eight years, or being married to the man who was once the literal president of America for two terms.
Like the rest of us, the former First Lady is just figuring herself out day by day, and each day she wakes up with new revelations about her thoughts and decisions and how she could make them to be happier and more fulfilled, not only as a wife and a mother, but as a woman.
I guess, even though I’m not married or have kids or in a relationship, that people can often lose themselves when they’re in any of these situations. We start to think the way society labels us, whether it be mother or wife, and Michelle Obama’s unique insight into how...

Even though its been over 20 years since One Tree Hill first made its premiere back in 2003 on The WB, and almost 15 years since the show went off the air in 2012, it's never been more popular or beloved. That's why it makes all the sense that Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton Morgan have been working on a reboot for Netflix that would bring them back as Brooke and Peyton.
Word of the in-the-works reboot series first leaked back in September 2024, and there haven't been any additional concrete updates on the potential return to Tree Hill. According to Bush and Burton Morgan, the news dropped before they were ready to announce anything, that's why only they were attached so far, along with Danneel and Jensen Ackles on board as fellow executive producers.

In a recent appearance on the podcast Work in Progress, former First Lady Michelle Obama quickly dispelled the rumors that she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, were going through a divorce.
“It is whatever I want, Sophia,” Michelle said to host Sophia Bush, opening up about her experiences since leaving the White House and empty nest syndrome. “It’s the first time in my life all of my choices are for me.”
“I have to make sure the girls or my husband’s president are Ok, so I can’t do that. Now, you know, I can’t blame my decisions and indecision on anyone other than me. If I’m honest with myself, I could have made these decisions years ago, but I didn’t give myself that freedom.”

For several weeks now, we’ve been reporting on the persistent rumors that Barack and Michelle are headed for divorce.
While neither party commented on the situation directly, there seemed to be numerous signs that something had changed within the Obamas’ marriage.
For starters, Barack made numerous solo public appearances at a time when he must have already caught wind of the rumors.
Observers figured that he must have known how the public would react, and the move might therefore be his subtle way of confirming that he and Michelle were headed for Splitsville.

Michelle Obama is taking on those Barack Obama divorce rumors.
If you don’t know, the couple has been facing rumors of a split after not being together at some public events.
“The interesting thing is that when I say ‘no,’ for the most part, people are like, ‘I get it,’ and I’m Ok,” the former First Lady said on Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast, seemingly referring to skipping some of these recent public events while her husband attended alone. One such event was Trump‘s inauguration.

She continued, “And that’s the thing that we as women struggle with — disappointing people. So much so that people, they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.”

Chicago Pd has been doing well, but it just hasn’t been the same since losing certain characters! We take a look at the five we miss the most.
When a show runs 12 seasons, it’s only natural to shed some names in the cast. Chicago Pd hasn’t seen as much of a huge cast turnover since the first year but has lost a few characters as it went. Some aren’t too big; Sean Roman had a nice presence but was not important overall, while Vanessa Rojas only lasted one season and was forgettable.
Then, there are some major characters who brought true heart and power to the show. They were amazingly popular with the fans and often felt like the backbone of the series and its drama. Their departures all affected the show, and while it’s gone on, it seems something was lost with those gone.

We have been waiting a long, long time to see Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) get married. They have had a very bumpy road to the altar, but they have persevered, and we couldn't be happier for them. Unfortunately, a lot of the friends they've made along the way have left Chicago Pd.
Chicago Fire and Chicago Med have proven that weddings are as good a reason as any to bring back beloved characters. We saw Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) return in order to serve as the best man for his buddy, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), on Fire, and we're hoping Chicago Pd uses their big union to do something similar. These are the characters we have on our fantasy guest list.

[Warning: The following post contains spoilers for Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 13, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”] Well, who could’ve seen this coming? (Sense the sarcasm.) After Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) decided to open up their marriage to spice things up and stop them both from feeling suffocated, they each ran right into the arms of the people they’ve been having flirtmances with. First, Teddy conveniently ran into Dr. Cass Beckman (Sophia Bush), the one who put the idea of opening up her marriage to other flings in her mind in the first place by sharing her own experiences with the same. The encounter was accidental — Teddy was joining Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) on a medical conference trip that Cass just so happened to be attending, too. Then, Owen ran into Nora (Floriana Lima) after she brought a pregnant friend in for help. In both cases, they each had the green light ...

Grey’s Anatomy is getting a transfusion of fresh blood. Trevor Jackson, late of the black-ish spinoff grown-ish, will debut in May 8’s penultimate episode of Season 21 in a recurring role that our sister site Deadline reports may turn into a series-regular one if — more likely when — the long-running ABC drama is renewed for Season 22.
The report doesn’t say whether Jackson will be playing a doctor. But it’s a logical assumption, considering that earlier this season the show wrote off Jake Borelli and Midori Francis as residents Levi Schmitt and Mika Yasuda, respectively. All that has been disclosed so...

Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes recently opened up about the potential conclusion of ABC’s longest-running medical drama. Even though she’s no longer the drama’s showrunner, Rhimes has continued to be an integral part of the series as an executive producer.
When asked about her possible plans for the ending of Grey’s Anatomy during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rhimes admitted that she stopped thinking about the show’s conclusion after Season 8. At the moment, she doesn’t have any idea about how the medical drama will end. "I have zero endings for Grey's now. I mean, literally zero. Until Season 8, I still had endings," she shared. Every Swiftie knows where they were when they watched the music video for Taylor Swift's "Teardrops on My Guitar" for the first time. That song, along with "Tim McGraw" broke Swift into the country music scene back in 2006. The music video illustrated the song, following Taylor while she pines over a boy named Drew, and One Tree Hill fans may recognize the person playing Drew. Tyler Hilton, a musician, best known acting-wise as Chris Keller on One Tree Hill, portrayed the boy Swift was pining over for the duration of the music video. With Swift's push to reclaim her music through "Taylor's Versions" of her old albums, Hilton recently told Elite Daily that he'd be down to reprise his role for a Taylor's Version music video.

Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy (recapped here) dropped Teddy and Owen on the doorstep of an open marriage. But his lie of omission may well keep them from ever crossing that threshold.
In the final moments of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” Owen confessed to his wife that when childhood friend Nora (guest star Floriana Lima) had last been hospitalized, she’d tried to kiss him, but he’d pulled away. He further admitted that Nora had continued to text him. In turn, Teddy disclosed that she had bumped into Cass (guest star Sophia Bush...

Although LGBTQ representation was few and far in between among the headliners at this year’s SXSW, several indie darlings broke the industry’s cis-heteronormative mold to stand out.
From Special Jury Award winner Fucktoys, multi-hyphenate Annapurna Sriram’s bold celluloid fever dream of a feature debut, to The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Tick, co-writer/director Pete Ohs’ captivating model for cooperative filmmaking, there’s a glimmer of hope that the future of the industry lies in the hands of a new generation of marginalized folk with the right amount of passion, vision and ingenuity.
While catching up with Sophia Bush about her upcoming One Tree Hill revival in the works at Netflix, the actress emphasized the importance of LGBTQ representation in media as the Trump administration continues to dismantle Dei.
“I think 2025 sucks for everyone, to be clear, but what I think is worrisome, particularly for us,...

It's fairly common for actors closely associated with a long-running series to suddenly decide to move on and pursue other projects. During One Tree Hill's nine-season run, however, some characters' exits happened due to some terrible events taking place behind the scenes. The cast and crew have opened up about how series creator Mark Schwahn created a toxic workplace culture during the series' production, and during their podcast Drama Queens, series stars Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz (Pearson) weighed in on what was really behind the exit of main characters like Peyton (Hilarie Burton Morgan) and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray).

There’s only one Tree Hill, but luckily for fans, Sophia Bush and pals are giving the show a second life.
The Drama Queens podcast co-host told Deadline she’s “pumped” about the upcoming revival of her WB/CW drama One Tree Hill, which originally ran for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012, after we reported in August that a sequel series was in the works at Netflix with Bush and Hilarie Burton-Morgan attached to reprise their roles.
“We’ve been asked about bringing the show back for so long, and I think for so many years, all of us said that would be a hard no,” she said at the iHeartPodcasts Awards during SXSW at Acl Live on Monday. “And really, the podcast has given all of us this sort of opportunity to have a homecoming. And to get to analyze what was so special about it in the first place...
