'Absence' makes the heart grow fonder, which is likely not the case in Jimmy Loweree's horror debut. A new clip has been unearthed from the found footage chiller starring Erin Way, Eric Matheny, Ryan Smale, Stephanie Scholz, Michael Angelo Covino, Tamra Meskimen, David Paladino and Lee Burns. 'Absence' will kick off a limited Us theatrical release from tomorrow (5 July) and deals with expectant mother Liz who loses her unborn baby, literally, during her pregnancy. So what do we think? The first trailer for Absence takes any mother's worst nightmare and raises the stakes to terrifying levels. Director Jimmy Loweree's thriller focuses on Liz (Erin Way), a young woman nearing her due date when, one morning, her baby suddenly disappears from her womb overnight. Unable to explain this strange event, Liz goes on a getaway with her husband Rick (Eric Matheny), where they both realize their nightmare has only begun.

Expectant mother Liz wakes to find her nearly-to-term pregnancy has disappeared overnight. When doctors can find no medical explanation for the loss, police treat Liz and her husband Rick as prime suspects in what has now become a missing child case. Only Rick and Liz's brother Evan trust her version of events. To relieve some of Liz's grief, Rick and Evan take her on a vacation to the mountains. But as Evan documents their vacation, unusual patterns arise.

It seems that the MacGyver movie has a good chance of being made. What some fans may not know is that this isn't the first time a new version has been attempted.

In October 2002, Paramount made a deal with the WB network to produce a pilot for a new MacGyver series. Rather than focusing on Richard Dean Anderson's character, it would revolve around his nephew. Young MacGyver follows him as he winds up joining the Phoenix Foundation.

Casting got underway in late 2002 and they ended up hiring a pre-Supernatural Jared Padalecki, who'd been working on the network's Gilmore Girls. He reportedly had to pass on a role in Cheaper By The Dozen to do it. That part ended up going to Smallville's Tom Welling. The rest of the Young MacGyver pilot's cast includes Ron Canada, Tracey McCall, Alan Loayza, Lee Burns, Dominic Golden, and Kiele Sanchez.
