    • Paul Burgess is an award-winning editor, producer and director of documentaries and drama-documentaries. He has over seventy five broadcast credits for all major international broadcasters and streamers. Recent credits include: Days That Shook The BBC, in which David Dimbleby examines the UK broadcaster's greatest challenges; Making Love With The Paint (BBC), a portrait of British artist Maggi Hambling (nominated for a Grierson Award as Best Arts Doc); an episode of the literary travel series Write Around The World (BBC), presented by actor Richard E .Grant; both episodes of Empire State of Mind (C4), Sathnam Sanghera's powerful take on the legacy of Empire and Studio 17: The Lost Reggae Tapes (BBC) a feature-doc on the birthplace of Jamaican Reggae. For Netflix he edited Pangolin, an episode of the undercover series The Traffickers and for ITV, two episodes of the travel series: Stephen Fry's Big Fat Adventure. Other editing highlights include the Emmy nominated Mandela, The Living Legend (BBC); Brazil with Michael Palin (BBC); The Gay Rock 'n Roll Years (BBC) - short-listed for a B.F.I. Archival award and the landmark World War 2 series Finest Hour (BBC). As Producer/Director Burgess's credits include the BBC Storyville series Extreme Oil (BBC/PBS), winner of a Cine Golden Eagle award; the highly acclaimed drama-documentary Catherine The Great (BBC/PBS/ARTE/NDR) starring Emily Bruni; the social history series Summer of Heat, 1976 (BBC) featuring Sex Pistols' frontman Johnny Rotten and the legal history series Crime and Punishment (C4) presented by Blackadder star Tony Robinson. He is based in North West London where he operates a fully equipped editing studio.
