  • The story that the Bundy family in Mariés, deux enfants (1987) was named after him is not true. The family was named after the street one of the show's writers lived on.
  • Wrestled in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania III (1987), which pitted himself and midget wrestlers Shigeru Akabane and Eric Tovey against Jim Morris (aka k"Hillbilly Jim") and his midget tag-team partners, Little Beaver and 'The Haiti Kid'. The end of the match saw Bundy, at 450 pounds, body-slam the under-100-pound Little Beaver and then give him a huge elbow drop. This caused Bundy's team to be disqualified.
  • Began began his career as a face in Fritz Von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling as Big Daddy Bundy. Von Erich turned him heel and gave him the name "King Kong" Bundy.
