Biography

    • Ursula Buchfellner is a German model and actress. Raised in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany, she began her career in modeling during her teenage years and transitioned into international entertainment. Buchfellner gained prominence when she became Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for October 1979, with her centerfold photographed by Peter Weissbrich. She had previously appeared in Playboy's West German edition in December 1977, and in November 1985 she became the first Playmate to subsequently appear in Penthouse magazine. Following her modeling success, international acting and modeling careers followed Buchfellner's Playboy appearance. She appeared in numerous European B-movies during the early 1980s, including "Devil Hunter" (1980), "Hellhole Women" (1981), and "Linda" (1981). She was sometimes credited under various professional names including Ursula Fellner, Ulla Maris, and Ursula Maris. Over time, she shifted her career away from erotic films, transitioning into mainstream German television with roles in "Derrick," "Die Wicherts von Nebenan," and "Zum Stanglwirt". In later years, she pursued an eclectic range of passions, training in cosmetology, working as a children's sports teacher, and even becoming an astrologer. In 2015, she published her autobiography, documenting her transformation from international model to multi-faceted professional. Buchfellner represents a notable example of successful career diversification within the European entertainment industry, demonstrating the ability to transition from modeling into acting and eventually into various professional pursuits while maintaining financial stability and personal reinvention throughout different phases of her career.
