Nikolai Bubnov was an actor at Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow, Soviet Union.

He was born Nikolai Bubnov on February 18, 1903, in Russia. From 1924 - 1927 he studied acting under Boris Zakhava at Vakhtangov Theatrical School in Moscow, graduating in 1927 as an actor.

From 1927 to 1972 Bubnov was a permanent member of the troupe at Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. There his stage partners were such actors as Boris Zakhava, Yuri Zavadsky, Mikhail Ulyanov, Mikhail Astangov, Nikolai Plotnikov, Ruben Simonov, Iosif Tolchanov, Vladimir Etush, Varvara Popova, Yuliya Borisova, Lyudmila Maksakova, Lyudmila Tselikovskaya, Marianna Vertinskaya, Nina Ruslanova, Irina Kupchenko, Vasiliy Lanovoy, Yuriy Yakovlev, Vyacheslav Shalevich, Andrei Abrikosov, Grigori Abrikosov, Boris Babochkin, Nikolai Gritsenko, Nikolai Timofeyev, Nikolai Bubnov, Mikhail Sidorkin, Nikolai Pazhitnov, Aleksandr Grave, and Evgeniy Karelskikh, among others. Bubnov's most memorable stage performances were such roles as Don Pedro in the Shakespeare's Much ado about nothing, and as Neizvestny in "Maskarad" (1941) by Mikhail Lermontov, directed by Andrey Tutyshkin.

Nikolai Bubnov was designated People's Actor of the Russia (1962). He died of a heart failure in 1972, in Moscow, Russia, Soviet Union, and was laid to rest in the Vvedenskoe Cemetery in Moscow, Russia.
