    • Jean Bruce was born on March 22, 1921 in Paris, France. He was a writer, known for OSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions (2006), Furia à Bahia pour OSS 117 (1965) and Banco à Bangkok pour OSS 117 (1964). He was married to Josette Bruce. He died on March 26, 1963 in Épinay-Champlâtreux, Val-d'Oise, France.

  • Children: François and Martine.
  • He died one month after the begining of the shooting of O.S.S. 117 se déchaîne ! (1963).
  • He created the spy hero Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath, agent OSS 117, in 1949. He wrote 75 OSS 117 novels until his death in 1963. From 1966 to 1985, his wife Josette Bruce took over OSS 117 adventures and wrote 143 novels. Then in 1987, François Bruce (son of Jean Bruce) and Martine Bruce (daughter of Jean and Josette Bruce) published 24 novels.
