The Sheriff’s Office also said via email that White had not been involved in a physical altercation with officers.

“The Slumber Party Massacre Collection” (DVD Review)
Fête sanglante (1982)
The three-part documentary that’s one of the centerpieces of Shout! Factory’s Slumber Party Massacre Collection opens with Christmas-morning footage of a preteen Tony Brown (webmaster of the Slumber Party fan site The Old Hockstatter Place and one of the Collection’s contributors) unwrapping a VHS copy of the first in the film franchise, and literally screaming with excitement. It’s a good thing it wasn’t this two-dvd set he received, or the poor kid might have had a coronary.

Follow Along as "Gary and Tony Have a Baby"
Gary Spino and Tony Brown

When I first heard that Gary Spino and Tony Brown, the subjects of the CNN documentary Gary and Tony Have a Baby, were gay activists, I worried that their desire to be parents would be overshadowed by their activism and make it that much more difficult for this very worthwhile program to reach the people who most need to see it.

Fortunately, that fear is unfounded. While the special, hosted by CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O'Brien, doesn't shy away from the men's activism, it is their burning to desire to be parents, as well as their committed relationship to each other, that is the focus of the program.

And that's what I think especially works about their story, and what has the best chance of actually reaching those viewers who still aren't sure of their feelings about equality for gays and lesbians. (As...

Reba McEntire Puts Funk In Her Material Gets Credited For The Pop In Country
When Reba McEntire toured with Kelly Clarkson last year, she was reinvigorated by the energy and it has affected the way she is approaching the material for her next project.

Reba's next album finds her in a different mood than some of her previous projects.

Although looking back at Reba's career, she blazed onto the country scene in the '80s, it was in the '90s that Reba's music began to change. But it was last year when she sang "Because Of You" with duet partner, Clarkson that credited her with changing country music with a slight "pop" edge.

McEntire told USA Today that the songs on her new album are more hip, funky and sassy. She says they are uptempo and they've got attitude. The album has her teamed with producers, Tony Brown, who produced her hits, "Fancy" and "I'm A Survivor" and Mark Bright,...
