    Appeared on one of British TV's most celebrated adverts, as 'The Lonely Man', advertising Strand cigarettes in 1960. The ad's theme tune, as mentioned above, got into the lower reaches of the UK hit parade, but the Strand product itself sold poorly and was soon discontinued. Apparently, Mr. Brook himself gave up smoking many years ago.
