Cousin of Bob Mackie

Originally screen-tested for the part of Patty Williams on Les feux de l'amour (1973). William J. Bell was however so impressed by Bregman's skills that he and then-writer Sally Sussman created the part of Lauren Fenmore for her. A part she now has played for three decades.

Has two sons Austin Recht (b. 1991) and Landon Recht (b. 1996)

Even though she was not on contract at Les feux de l'amour (1973) from 2001-2013, she was still featured prominently in many story lines, which is usually not the case for recurring characters.

She is the daughter of Buddy Bregman and Suzanne Lloyd.
