    • Katharina Brauren was born on April 21, 1910 in Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, Germany. She was an actress, known for Madame Bovary (1937), Les chats de novembre (1986) and Fremde, liebe Fremde (1991). She was married to Konrad Mayerhoff. She died on December 25, 1998 in Ahrensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

  • Stage and screen character actress. Member of the ensemble of the Hamburger Kammerspielen from 1945 to 1953. Best known as a voice actress on Europa recordings of radio plays and fairy tales from the early 1970's.
  • Katharina Brauren was among others awarded with the Bundesfilmpreis in 1986 for her role in "Novemberkatzen".
  • She was married to the actor Konrad Mayerhoff.
  • Besides her activity as an actress she became also well-known to a whole generation as a speaker for cassette plays, among others adventures of Enid Blyton's "The Famous Five", Hitchcock's "The three ???" and many fairy tales.
  • From the 60's followed often appearances in TV productions and serials.
