STEPHEN BRADLEY (Writer/Director/Producer) Stephen was Story Producer on LAST ONE LAUGHING IRELAND, filmed in May 2023, with host Graham Norton and 10 stars of Irish Comedy. He was Series Director on THE DEIRDRE O'KANE SHOW - 5 x 1 hours of comedy and music for Sky Max in 2021, and on CLEAR HISTORY - a comedy panel show for RTE in 2020 - both for Kite Entertainment. Stephen's most recent feature film, NOBLE, won Audience Awards at 6 festivals in the USA, was selected for Cannes Cinéphiles and then released in cinemas internationally during 2015/16. The Hollywood Reporter described it as "a joyful and rousing affirmation of the human spirit that will resound widely." NOBLE was shot in Vietnam and England, starring Deirdre O'Kane (IFTA Best Actress), Brendan Coyle, Liam Cunningham, Sarah Greene (IFTA Best Supporting Actress) and Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga. Stephen wrote and directed his first short film REAPER in 1995. It was selected for Competition at the Venice Film Festival and the same year he co-produced GUILTRIP (dir. Gerry Stembridge), also screening at Venice. Stephen founded Temple Films with producer Ed Guiney and wrote and directed his first feature SWEETY BARRETT (1999) starring Brendan Gleeson, Liam Cunningham and Andy Serkis. It was selected for World Cinema at Toronto Film Festival and Official Competition in San Sebastian. Other award-winning features made by Temple Films included AILSA (dir. Paddy Breathnach) and DISCO PIGS (dir. Kirsten Sheridan). Stephen's second theatrical film as director was the comedy-horror BOY EATS GIRL (2005), starring Samantha Mumba and David Leon, which was distributed worldwide, including by Lionsgate in the USA. Stephen has also directed three feature-length documentaries, many award-winning television series for RTE, TV3 and TG4 and stand-up comedy shows for Universal, SKY and EMI. He is a Board Member of the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland and runs drama development company Danman Films. His first book SHOOTING & CUTTING was published in October 2019 and his next feature film will be the comedy-mockumentary, FRAN THE MAN, shooting in January 2024.
