Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, and Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 4 (2009)
Though he's primarily recognized for his Fast & Furious fame, late actor Paul Walker has some hidden gems apart from the action franchise on his CV. One of his more underrated movies, Joy Ride, is set to journey onto a new streaming service very soon.

Hulu confirmed that Joy Ride will premiere on its platform on Oct. 1. The 20th Century Fox horror flick, which also stars Steve Zach, Leelee Sobieski, Jessica Bowman and Ted Levine, was originally released in theaters on Oct. 5, 2001.

Related Documentary Details Why Paul Walker Declined a Lucrative Deal to Play Superman

A recently aired documentary reveals the reasons why Fast & Furious star Paul Walker was never meant to play Superman.

Joy Ride: The Thriller That Dared Not to Reveal Its Killer's Face
Image
Joy Ride cleverly taps into post-9/11 fear with a faceless killer, offering a unique twist on the classic thriller genre. The film's originality and suspense make it a fantastic noir thriller that still holds up over 20 years later. Steve Zahn and Paul Walker deliver great performances in a film that explores the horrors of domestic, American, and faceless threats.

Just as the summer of 2001 ended, an event occurred in the United States that would change the country, the entire world, and all the generations that lived through it. The dynamics underwent a radical shift, bringing songs, movies, and TV shows under scrutiny. If they dared show terrorism, anger, and what existed before Ground Zero, then they’d have to be changed in favor of the sensibility of an entire nation that would grieve for many years.

The fear was felt everywhere. Osama bin Laden’s face was in every corner of the media.

Clint Eastwood in Jugé coupable (1999)
After a two-week trial and 16 hours of deliberations, jurors in Quincy, Illinois, could not settle the guilt or innocence of one-time local golden boy Curtis Lovelace in the death of his wife, Cory, reports Wgem. The mistrial declared Friday by Judge Bob Hardwick sets the stage for a May 31 retrial for Curtis, a former local football hero, ex-school board president and assistant state's attorney who drew headlines when - eight years after he reported his wife dead on Valentine's Day 2006 - he was arrested in 2014 and charged with her suffocation murder. In the Adams County courthouse where Curtis, now 47, had once practiced law,...

Did Local Golden Boy Curtis Lovelace Suffocate His Wife Before Taking His Kids to School?
Clint Eastwood in Jugé coupable (1999)
The death of Cory Lovelace on Valentine's Day 2006 came as a tragic shock. The mother of four had been briefly ill and was showing flu-like symptoms that morning, according to statements attributed to her husband Curtis at a coroner's inquest. He said he walked her to bed around 8:15 and then drove their three oldest children to school. When he returned about 45 minutes later, he said, Cory was dead. Now, almost 10 years later, criminal charges allege it was Curtis who killed Cory by suffocation. He has pleaded not guilty and goes on trial Jan. 25. The abrupt twist - Curtis was...

[TV] Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman: The Complete Seasons 1-3
A&E is re-releasing the first three seasons of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, the feel-good, family values championing series that preceded 7th Heaven by three years. The show existed in a more innocent age of network television. Even if only 13 years have passed since the show ended, Dr. Quinn would be hard-pressed to find a spot in today’s lineup. Both the character and show of Dr. Quinn extolled traditional virtues and carried a strong equality of the sexes message. Even if the story of an episode was specifically about equality, the show was so deeply rooted in that concept from the double-length pilot episode that it was impossible to separate from its core later on. In some cases a show that pushes values can feel a bit preachy, but the production values and the strength of Jane Seymour as the titular doctor helped the show evade that feel and...
