Her name is Greek for "horse-lover." The Anglo-Saxon form of that name is Eowyn, the name of a character in The Lord of the Rings.

Her daughter Phoebe played a Hobbit in Le Seigneur des anneaux : La Communauté de l'anneau (2001), one of Mr. Harvey's victims in Lovely Bones (2009), and a waitress in the Prancing Pony in Le Hobbit : La Désolation de Smaug (2013).
