Carole Boyd is the voice of Lynda Snell in The Archers on BBC Radio 4.

Trained at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama.

In life, I'm not theatrical. No, when you play someone as unsympathetic as Lynda [in "The Archers"], who has the most loathed character, it's a sort of catharsis. People say: "But surely you must be like that too, deep down." But no. It's a moral victory, playing her - a strange triumph... I can't bear the luvvie stuff, though I can do it with my peers when I have to. I try to be real.
