Blake Boyd enjoys a diverse and rewarding career in film, television and theatre. Equally adept at comedic and dramatic roles, he has appeared in over 80 productions, from shooting on location in the jungles of The Philippines to the sound stages of Hollywood, and playing lead roles on the New York stage.

His breakthrough role came starring opposite Sinbad in Walt Disney Pictures' "First Kid," showcasing his deft timing as by-the-book Secret Service Agent Dash. He followed with Disney's "Rocketman" and then starred in "Honeymoon" and "Space Marines." He worked with "First Kid" director David Mickey Evans on "Beethoven's Third" and he has appeared in "The Cable Guy," "Dark Planet," as well as in Roger Corman's features "Raiders of the Sun" and "Dune Warriors."

Most recently, he played a Texas lawyer opposite country singing star Rob Mayes in director Marla Sokoloff's "Sweet on You" written by Haylie Duff and Marla Sokoloff for UpTV. Blake also plays the lead in Dominique Milano's "Cash Collectors", a film about the nefarious world of reality TV, which is making its world premiere later this year at the world famous Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Other recent films include "Lost Girls: Angie's Story", "Out of Time" and the acclaimed "Toto", written and produced by Donald Martin, shot in Manila, and winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Film at the 39th Asian American International Film Festival in New York as well as Best Foreign Film at the 16th Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival.

Blake also stars in numerous short films, including opposite Ming-Na Wen in Anna Chi's "Swimming", in "Fall to Fame", in "The Stanley James Intensive", "Ner Tamid", "The Extraordinary Flight of Atticus Walker and the Monster in his Mind" and in Leslie Zemeckis' "Staar: She'd Rather Be A Mistress", to name but a few. He voices a character in Zemeckis' award-winning documentary "Bound By Flesh".

Boyd made his directing and producing debut while starring as death-row sociopath Adam Robert Hessig in the short film "Fish," which was well received on the festival circuit.

For television, Blake recently completed a recurring role on the classic daytime drama "General Hospital". Prior guest appearances on major shows include "Shameless", "Kamen Rider," "Miracles," "The Agency," "ER," "7th Heaven," "V.I.P.," "News Radio," "The Watcher" as well as recurring roles on Netflix's "Messiah" and "Pensacola."

TV movie credits include Lifetime's "Killer Reputation" and "Murder in the Vineyard", "Confessions: Two Faces of Evil," "Saved By the Bell" and "Gunsmoke II."

In addition to voice performances for several video games, Blake was chosen to voice Safety Kid in "Safety Kid on the Net" for Jewish Family Services, and he created the role of Trucker Jim Bob in the animated film sequel "The Brave Little Toaster Goes To School."

On stage, he recently completed a run of Joanne Mosconi's "You Love That I'm Not Your Wife" at The Players Theatre in New York. Prior to that, he appeared in almost 200 performances of Brad T. Gottfred's play "Women Are Crazy Because Men Are Assholes" in Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and New York's famed Cherry Lane Theater. He also starred in the world premiere stage production of "The Death of Reason" in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

On the Los Angeles stage, he earned excellent reviews at the acclaimed Odyssey Theatre as John F. Kennedy in Peter Lefcourt's "The Death and Life of Mary Jo Kopechne", and in Grant Woods' "The Things We Do". He also appeared in Odyssey productions, as Burton in "Burn This" and in Dorothy Lyman's "A Month in the Country."

Other LA theatre productions include director John Frank Levey's "Marsh Light" and Alice Carter's "Cabaret", both at the Ventura Court Theatre, as well as "Maids of Honor," the role of Christian in "Cyrano de Bergerac" at the Knightsbridge, and the Tiffany Theatre productions of "Staccato" and "Class of 1990."

Raised within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Boyd earned his BBA from Southern Methodist University, where he was a two-year title holder in boxing. While in school, he began work in modeling and commercials. Encouraged by such industry success, he moved to Los Angeles after graduation and, within a year, landed his professional debut role as a guest star on the TV series "Charles in Charge."

As a producer, Blake develops projects through his Lone Star Production company and he invests in real estate.

An avid sportsman, he is a skilled horseman and expert snow skier who has continued his diverse athletic activities alongside his career.
