Academy Award winner Raymond Boy worked as storyboard artist for Robert Redford, Michael Ballhaus and Wolfgang Petersen. He is a writer, director and storyboard artist known for "Uncharted","Raised by Wolves" and "The Queen's Gambit". He works in Berlin and around the world.
Early creating and publishing comic and cartoons, Boy first attended Visual Communication in Cologne. After the diploma he studied directing film at the Academy Of Media Arts Cologne. Raymond Boy's shorts has been awarded on several film festivals in Europe and in the United States. In 1997 Boy received the Foreign Student Academy Award in Gold for "An Ordinary Mission" ("Ein Einfacher Auftrag"). At the same time he began to work successfully as storyboard artist. Since then he is working with filmmakers like Janusz Kaminski, Scott Frank, Uli Edel, Lukas Ettlin and Fatih Akin on international movies and series. As writer and director he is developing film projects and series. Raymond Boy teaches workshops in Visual Storytelling and Directing Methods at the German Academy of Film & Television Berlin (DFFB), EPI of the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg and the Bauhaus University of Weimar. Raymond Boy has a daughter. He lives in Berlin.
