Little Carolyn's movie career was commemorated in an article in her hometown paper, the El Paso (Tex.) "Herald Post" on September 6, 1936 on the front page under the headline "El Paso Baby Is Movie Player," showing Carolyn with Irene Dunne. The article also stated that "Babies of Carolyn's age are only allowed to work only 30 seconds at a time, and a stop-watch is kept handy to enforce the ruling. Carolyn was chosen from scores of babies viewed by casting directors.".
