Erlynn Mary Botelho

Erlynn Mary Botelho comes from an extended family who were often employed as film extras. Botelho first appeared in front of the camera when she was only six months old. Erlynn attended a casting call for La planète des singes (1968) with other members of her family and has the distinction of being the first female extra to be picked for that classic science fiction movie. Moreover, Botelho not only was featured in early wardrobe test photos dressed as a chimp nurse, but also plays two roles in La planète des singes (1968) as Dr. Galen's assistant and the mother of a young chimp named Quintus. Erlynn went on to appear in minor uncredited roles as simians in three out of the four sequels to La planète des singes (1968).
