He joined ASCAP in 1941, and his chief musical collaborators included Walter Samuels, Ned Lehac and Dana Suesse. He wrote songs for the Broadway musicals "The Garrick Gaieties" (1930) and "Sweet and Low", and for Radio City Music Hall. His other song compositions include "I've Got It Again", "So Shy", and "Dark Clouds".
