    • Petter J. Borgli has worked in the film business since 1972. He founded FILMEFFEKT together with Dag Alveberg in 1976, Norway's first company supplying props, special effects and art department services to the Film and Television industry. In 1983 FILMEFFEKT became a production company, "invented" Norway's (maybe the world's) first "tax-shelter incentive scheme" for film production, financing and producing its first feature film ORIONS BELT in 1984. Borgli produced 12 feature films and TV series with FILMEFFEKT including Erik Gustavson's HERMAN. In 1992 Borgli moved on to join Hans Petter Moland, Erik Gustavson and Tomas Backström in NORDIC SCREEN as partner and senior producer. A member of the board of The Norwegian Producers Association from 1993 to 2003, a member of The European Producers Club "Le Club" from 1993 and a member of the European Film Academy from 1994. Attended Producer-class-95 in Madrid. A Media-95 producer education course dealing with international film financing, sales and packaging, and then he attended Media-exchange-96 in Los Angeles and New York. He was appointed by Variety Magazine as one of the world's "Ten producers to watch" during the Cannes Filmfestival 1998. He produced 20 feature films and TV series with NORDIC SCREEN including Erik Gustavson's THE TELEGRAPHIST, Marius Holst's first feature film CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO DIE, Erik Skjoldbjærg's first feature film INSOMNIA and Hans Petter Moland's ABERDEEN. In 2002 NORDIC SCREEN merged with Dinamo Media Agency creating DINAMO STORY. Borgli produced 3 feature films with DINAMO STORY, including Hans Petter Moland's THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY with Pressman Film and Sony Classics. In 2005 Borgli left DINAMO STORY to form his company PJB, producing or supervising over 20 feature films and TV series in association with a variety of Norwegian and International production companies. In 2020 he joined STORM FILMS as a Producer and Head of Production. In Cannes 2025, at the general assembly of the European Producers Club he was appointed as honorary member.
