Michelle Trachtenberg Is Dead but 'The Adventures of Pete & Pete' Lives On
Image
The great child actress Michelle Trachtenberg died today, Feb. 26, 2025. This follows a liver transplant the actor received, along with several Instagram posts which had alarmed some friends and fans, with the images portraying an extremely gaunt Trachtenberg. As The New York Post writes, "Trachtenberg was found by her mother at around 8 a.m. Wednesday at One Columbus Place, a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood, the sources said [...] The NYPD confirmed Trachtenberg was found 'unconscious and unresponsive' by police and pronounced dead by Ems workers."

Trachtenberg, born on Oct. 11, 1985, began her career as a child actor, eventually joining a live-action Nickelodeon series, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, at the age of nine. That series began as little interstitial shorts in 1989, which became popular enough to warrant a handful of TV specials. Going from...

Jd & Elliot's Relationship In Scrubs Explained & What Happened To Them
Image
Zach Braff's Dr. John "Jd" Dorian and Sarah Chalke's Dr. Elliot Reid form Scrubs' most on-again/off-again romantic pairing, with their relationship going through many peaks and troughs throughout the medical sitcom's run. Their frustratingly sporadic dynamic spans all nine seasons of Scrubs, but the show confirms the status of their relationship just before it was canceled after Scrubs: Med School made too many drastic changes to the formula to maintain the sitcom's fan base. However, with a Scrubs revival on the way, it's about to be revealed what they have been up to since.

Although Scrubs is often overshadowed by its contemporaries, Jd and Elliot had one of the best will they/won't they romances on TV in the 2000s. At certain points, their relationship became a difficult one to root for, and there were even times when it felt like they would subvert expectations and never end up together.

Teddy Sears mastered his 'Sex'-ual education early
Lizzy Caplan, Michael Sheen, Caitlin FitzGerald, and Annaleigh Ashford in Masters of Sex (2013)
He’s no womanizer like his Masters of Sex character Dr. Austin Langham, but Teddy Sears has had an appreciation for the female form for some time now—as long as there’s no food involved.

Sears admits he didn’t get what all the fuss over 9 1/2 Weeks’ iconic refrigerator scene was about: “That scene when all the foodstuffs come out? You lost me. That’s when I turned it off.” Then again, he was only 9 or 10 years old at the time.

It’s unlikely the same could be said of Langham if he had come of age during Kim Basinger’s controversy-stirring prime.

Kiefer Sutherland locked in for 'Touch'; 'Firefly's' Alan Tudyk headed to 'Suburgatory'
All the pilot casting that's fit to print:

Kiefer Sutherland has officially said "yes" to starring in Fox's drama pilot "Touch," from "Heroes" creator Tim Kring. Word that the "24" star was in talks for the project got out last week, but there was some question about when "Touch" would shoot since Sutherland is currently on Broadway in a revival of "That Championship Season." That's been cleared up: The pilot will likely shoot in early June, which means "Touch" would probably be in the mix for a midseason spot in 2011-12. [Hollywood Reporter]

Former Joss Whedon regular Alan Tudyk ("Firefly," "Dollhouse") has been banished to "Suburgatory." Tudyk will co-star in the ABC comedy pilot about a teenager (Jane Levy) who has to move from Manhattan to the 'burbs with her dad. Tudyk will play an old friend of the father and a long-time suburbanite. [Deadline]

'Marry Me': Lucy Liu gets physical in romantic comedy debut
Lucy Liu may star in Lifetime's two-part miniseries "Marry Me" (Sunday and Monday, Dec. 12-13 at 9 p.m. Et) -- about a woman who receives three marriage proposals and has to pick her one Prince Charming -- but the actress hasn't really given her own wedding day much thought.

"It's not so much to me about the fairy tale wedding as it is about meeting the right person," she tells the press to promote her romantic comedy debut. "I think if you ended up wearing a paper bag and ate pizza for the reception, you wouldn't really care because you'd be so happy because you were with the right person."

That viewpoint plays out in "Marry Me" for Rae Ann Carter (Liu), a social worker who's ignored her dreams of becoming an artist and feels that it's time to settle down ... but not settle for less than the perfect person for her.

'Marry Me' sneak peek: Lucy Liu feels the love
It's not difficult to imagine three men wanting to marry Lucy Liu.

The Emmy-nominated actress tries her hand at the romantic comedy with Lifetime's two-night event "Marry Me," airing Sunday, Dec. 12 and Monday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m. Et each night.

In the lighthearted miniseries, Rae Ann Carter (Liu) doesn't want to settle for anything less than Prince Charming, but somehow lands herself three of them -- Luke (Steven Pasquale), Adam (Bobby Cannavale) and Harry (Enrique Murciano) -- and they all want to marry her. What's an attractive, yet hopelessly romantic girl to do?

In Zap2it's exclusive first-look clip above, we see Rae pretending not to agonize over the fact that Luke, whom she's only known a short time, hasn't called her when he's away on business. Her co-workers aren't exactly helping her state of mind, which is probably why she makes that fatal error at the end of the clip.
