    • Lord James Blears was born on August 13, 1923 in Tyldesley, Manchester, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Ultime épreuve (1987), Magnum (1980) and Hawaii police d'état (1968). He was married to Leonora Adelaina. He died on March 3, 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

  • He was considered a swimming hopeful for the 1940 Olympic Games, but the Games did not take place due to WWII. He joined the Merchant Navy. His ship was torpedoed by the Japanese in the Indian Ocean. He was taken aboard an enemy vessel and forced to watch as many of his crew-mates were executed. He jumped overboard, dodging rifle bullets, and was eventually rescued by a US ship.
  • Father of former professional surfer Laura Blears Ching.
  • He was one of the most famous of the "Lords" who entered the professional wrestling ring after World War II.
  • In the early part of his career, when he was working in New York, he shared a 101st Street apartment with Sandor Kovacs and Stu Hart.
