Bliss continually went to Hanna-Barbera auditions for approximately 20 years. She was finally cast as the voice of Smurfette on Les Schtroumpfs (1981).

Following her death, she was interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
Resided in a nursing home in Costa Mesa, California until her death.
