  • Richard Blade was a very successful and well-known disc jockey in Los Angeles, California for many years and, back in the 1980s, hosted a television show called "The Rock 'n' Roll Evening News".
  • Hosted the Los Angeles-based music video/dance show "MV3" from 1982-1984 along with David Maples and Karen L. Scott.
  • He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Radio at 1625 Vine Street in Hollywood, California on June 6, 2024. Billy Idol and Jimmy Kimmel were presenters at the ceremony.
  • Hosted KROQ-FM (106.7) in Greater Los Angeles from 1982-2000, and hosted the 1st Wave classic alternative station since 2005.
  • Returned to Los Angeles after optioning a screenplay. He sold the reality series "You're in the MoviE" to E! Entertainment Television (with producing partners Foglight Entertainment). He optioned a series deal with the Gurin Company for "20,000 Miles" - a reality-based music show, and signed a deal with MTV Networks to write and produce the series "Bands Reunited" for VH1. (July 2003)
  • In 2017, Richard's autobiography "World in My Eyes" was published and became a national best seller. Since then, he has had four novels published - "SPQR", "Brirthright", "Imposters" and "Ghosts of the Congo".
