Megan Blake is an actor, writer, producer and The Pet Lifestyle Coach. Whether it's Super Smiley, her beloved rescue turned "spokesdog" smiling alongside her to promote pet adoption, Tout Suite the Travel Kitty, the discarded feral who has traveled over 130,000 miles with Megan educating people on pet travel, or one of the many horses she's saved from slaughter, there's no denying that Megan is succeeding in her mission to help people integrate pets into their lives and to show these animals as teachers and healers.

She's the resident Pet Expert and host on PBS's Emmy-Award winning series, Animal Attractions TV, on which she was also segment producer and writer. The series won an Honorary Mention at the Humane Society of the United States' prestigious Genesis Awards. She also appeared on Oprah's Network, OWN, as The Pet Lifestyle Coach to Ryan O'Neal on his reality series, The O'Neals. Here she brings Ryan two Best Friends dogs to choose from and helps him integrate Mozart into his home. Megan also appears in the media as a pet product "trendologist," pet expert and adoption advocate.

Megan has turned her national "Happy Campaign" tour of the Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet Adoption into a Film Festival movement. Inspired by her mentor mutt, Smiley, she has created the film Super Smiley Flash Mob - A Dogumentary which after receiving a special invitation by the Awareness Film Festival in LA for its world premier, it Won The Visionary Award. Within a week, it was screening at World Fest in Los Angeles, with more invitations pending.

What's "A Super Smiley Adventure?" It's Megan's new radio show, which recently won an Honorary Mention at the prestigious Genesis Awards. Airing on Pet Life Radio, the world's largest Pet Radio Network, Megan has interviewed pet advocates like Academy Award Nominee James Cromwell, Golden Globe Nominee, Wendie Malick, The CEO of the Humane Society of the Untied States, Wayne Pacelle and the starring cast (including Jack Russell, Uggie) of the Academy Award Winning Film, The Artist. Inspired by her spokes-dog, Super Smiley, the show explores real life travels as well as inner journeys where our animals lead. Megan believes that if we are open to it, animals will always lead us on amazing adventures and to great journeys of inner discovery. While keeping the charm that defines this Super Smiley Adventure, Megan and Smiley use the show to advocate for serious issues like pet adoption, proper stewardship and avoiding cruelty.

Megan's column appears in the critically acclaimed and Genesis Awards recognized Dog's Life Magazine, and includes subjects close to Megan's heart: Earth Friendly Grooming, Indoor Fun for Fido, Safe Travel, Grieving Pet Loss, and Dog Proofing Your Home.

Megan and Smiley are a National Spokes-Team for Toyota's Pet Safe Initiative. They are a Therapy Dog Team for the prestigious Pet Partners and a HOPE Crisis Response Team, which qualifies them to go into disaster areas with HOPE and give comfort and assistance to those affected. Megan guest lectures for the University of NC for their Animal Assisted Therapy Certificate Program. She is the Official Spokesperson for Pet Expo USA, the Celebrity Pet Ambassador for the Wonder Pet Expo and has served as a spokes-person for many events like LA's Operation Fitness, Jacksonville's Fur Ball and Beverly Hill's Woofstock. She is a sought after pet expert in the media and celebrity judge for numerous grooming and mutt contests from which many dogs are adopted. She has hosted regional events for the Humane Society of the US, volunteered at Best Friends' Dog Town, and is bringing Smiley's Happy Campaign to the City of LA Shelters.

A frequent media go-to person for pets, Megan has been interviewed by CNN, Forbes, The Washington Post, Woman's World, Parents Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Better TV, Florida Times Union, Atlanta Magazine, Yahoo News, ESPN.com, Paw Print, Cat Fancy and many other national and regional outlets. Her story has graced the covers of San Diego Pets, the homepage of Bestfriends.org, and she bylined a requested piece for The Humane Society of the United States that was featured on their website, as well as provided expert commentary on important animal rights legislation for the Levine Breaking News. She is also regularly a guest on dozens of radio and television shows nationwide.

Megan has also worked with wolves to study their unspoken language and to apply that intuitive understanding to educating pet owners on how to better communicate with their own dogs.

Megan is an accomplished actress, playing in dozens of television series and feature films alongside many of the biggest industry names including Academy Award winner Elizabeth Taylor and Golden Globe nominee Mark Harmon in The Sweet Bird of Youth, and Golden Globe nominee Christina Ricci and Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow in The Opposite of Sex. Her current film is Susie, based on the inspiring true story of the dog who was burned and inspired Susie's Law for animal protection. In Megan's Sci-Fi film, Eyeborgs and in the multiple award winning The Magistical (in which Megan voices a little boy) she has the task of saving the world! She is frequently seen at entertainment industry soirees with Super Smiley, who to everyone's delight steals the spotlight. She trained her three-legged dog, Spirit, to act in two films, one in which Spirit graced the stage with the NY City Ballet, and in the other she hopped alongside Golden Globe nominee David Carradine.

True to her Southern roots, Megan sat on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Ballet in North Carolina, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Georgia Tech, was a speech writer for the Gov. of GA, is a guest speaker at Universities including the University of Richmond Law School in VA & the University of NC, and she is a Former Miss Georgia.

Megan Blake lives with her husband Kim H. Swartz, two dogs, two horses and Travel Kitty in Malibu, California.
